As a beginning step, horizontal tabs have been made on the top bar of the blog, linking readers to interesting, insightful and uniquely Singapore stories which has been documented on the blog. Do give me sometimes as I refresh the contents of these links from time to time as it takes time and effort to look through the many archives to dish out the Best of Singapore Short Stories. I have revamped the look, design and feel of this blog. I hope readers will like this new design of the blog and find it easier to navigate around the pages of this blog. The previous version of this blog looks a bit dull as compared to the new look, hence I have chosen a newer and more modern template for this blog.

With some time on my hand tonight, I do everything quite slowly, surfing the internet before the commencement of yet another week. It was only through such leisure that I took a closer look at my blog address. I was a bit surprised! My website URL now became http://singaporeshortstories.blogspot.sg/  instead of http://singaporeshortstories.blogspot.com !

I believe there is a best time to do everything to the best. Same goes to blogging. I would like to seek your kind understanding if I do not blog on Singapore Short Stories blog on a daily basis as afterall I have a job to do and personal errands to run.

I have decided that today's post will be about me and my motivation for starting this blog. I have been blogging since 2007 on this blog. Prior to the inventions of blog, I did keep a diary but have since threw it away since most of the entries were made during my National Service days when times were not pleasant anyway. I can say that I am a late starter for IT and the internet. During the times when internet was first introduced, I did not really have a chance to learn about it as there was no need for internet access at home. It was only through work matters by a strict but good boss in National Service that had me learn the Microsoft office skills the hardway: learning how to type, how to use the basic functions of Microsoft Word.
