Howard Shaw was jailed for 12 weeks for having paid sex with an underage lady, with the verdict out today. Personally, I find this jail sentence fair for this category of crime.

Howard Shaw will be sentenced today for his involvement of sex with an underage girl in the same case which implicated 51 men so far.

In the latest news , Darinne Ko Wen Hui is said to be the lady who had sex with her Professor Tey Tsun Hang in the latest case of "sex for grade" incident which shocked Singapore.

I was quite shocked to read in national newspapers some days ago that Howard Shaw has been jailed before for drink driving some years back.   I always thought Howard is quite a nice fellow, well-spoken, articulate and has a squeaky clean image who is fortunate to be born into the influential and immensely wealthy family of the Shaw.

Howard Shaw, ex-Executive Director of the Singapore Environment Council is one of the 48 men who faced charges with having sex with a minor. I perceive a double standard in the reporting of the sex-linked corruption cases involving SCDF's ex-chief, Peter Lim and CNB's ex-chief, Ng Boon Gay: a) For Lim's, the places where the oral and actual sex between Peter and the 3 ladies were widely reported but the place where Cecilia Sue performed the oral sex on Ng was not revealed.

As of today, the identity of the IT female executive is still yet to be known, with little or no trace of her identity online.

With so many men coming from the public and private sectors being charged in court over sex with a minor-many are reported to have sex with the same 17-year old, part-time model cum student, I hope that the media can publish the photo of the lady though it may be hard to do so as the 17-year old is a minor at the time the crimes are committed.

Howard Shaw, a very celebrated figure here in Singapore, especially in the environment, community and volunteerism scene, well-connected with the super-rich and powerful in Singapore and the son of a reputable and very wealthy family of Singapore, is charged today in court with having sex with a minor. He is among the almost-fifty men to be charged in court for having sex with a minor, with 44 charged in court on Monday, just two days ago.

Lee Lip Hong, the name of the principal, among 43 others charged with having commercial sex with under-18 girl did not come as a surprise to me when his and the names of the other offenders were announced as I have previously came across the possibility of Lee Lip Hong being the one as shared in my earlier post .
