This episode is a solemn and chilling reminder to Singaporeans that terrorism is not that remote to our country. The internet has broken down geographical constraints to make the dissemination of ideas, both good and bad available to all, with just the click of a mouse. This episode reinforces the point for Singaporeans to be always vigilant. Kudos to the authorities for its early intervention before the unimaginable occurs. Singaporeans should also play an active role to help our authorities to be the ‘eyes and ears’ of our community to thwart extremism.
