Singapore Chinese New Year 2009: Chinatown Chinese New Year Light-Up 2009

December 08 and January 09 are indeed two months of continuing celebrations!
8 Dec 08, Singapore celebrated Hari Raya Haji. Just a week ago, it was Christmas, and just two days back, Singapore and the world ushered in year 2009 with much fanfare and splendor!
Come Jan 26 09, Chinese Singaporeans will be celebrating the Chinese New Year! To embrace the Chinese New Year mood, please head down to Chinatown tomorrow night where there would be the official Chinatown Chinese New Light-up by Minister for Home Affairs, Mr Wong Kan Seng at around 8pm.
Chinatown is already dressed in its splendid Chinese New Year regalia, the scores of stalls are awaiting for you (and of course, your money, hehe!).

What is Chinese New Year without these traditional Chinese Lions?

The Year of the Ox: fitting for a year, where the world needs more bullish times
