Koh Poh Koon: PAP candidate for Punggol East by-election ?

Koh Poh Koon, a surgeon at Mount Elizabeth may be PAP candidate for the Punggol East by-election which will be held on 26 Jan 2013 if there is more than one candidate for the by-election according to news today. Polling Day will be on 16 Jan 2013. From what I have read, Koh Poh Koon, is a grassroots volunteer in Punggol hence it is all the more natural for the ruling party to send in someone whom residents have at least seen before working on the ground to contest in the Punggol East by-election.

In my opinion, Koh Poh Koon, may or may not be sent into Parliament. Koh Poh Koon, may win the by-election if there is at least a three-cornered fight in Punggol East. If there is a straight fight between WP and PAP in Punggol East, I believe the chance of Koh winning may become smaller.
