We have now Ferraris on our roads, and now we have segways on our walkways!

While jogging two days ago and passing by a private estate, I was surprised to see a middle-aged man transversing the jogging path in a segway! For those who are not too sure of what a segway is, you can google for the term.

How can a segway be used on our walkways like a bicycle? So far, I know that segways are deployed in Changi Airport and Sentosa and in my belief, these fast speed devices should be used commercially in commercial buildings, are they allowed on our common walkways?

Being fast moving modes of transport, segways should be banned on our common walkway as it will really be a bad thing if they were to collide with the pedestrians.

We have now Ferraris on our roads, and now we have segways on our walkways, I believe Minister Lui Tuck Yew must really look into these matters before they festor into a persistent problem like our "efficient and reliable" MRT system!
